our pet policy
As pet owners ourselves, we understand that our fur babies are an important part of your family!
If you would like your fur baby to be a part of your portrait experience, we do require strict adherence to the following guidelines and rules:
Please note that any cancellation or reschedule requests within our 14 day policy due to a sick pet, will require a note from your Vet
DOGs
We require all families that come to the studio to bring a friend or family member (who is not being photographed) to serve as a “pet handler”. We do not allow our clients to leave their pets unattended or in their vehicles.
Pets must be on a harness or collar and leash at ALL TIMES with the exception of when they are being photographed. They are not allowed to roam the studio grounds without being on a leash.
Pets that are too large to be in a hand held crate must be kept outside of the building with their handler until their portrait session has started. They are to be leashed and escorted in and out of the building when not being photographed.
We understand that sometimes pets can shed their fur and kindly ask that you are mindful of this, as there are other families and children who will be passing through that may have allergies.
All dogs must be up to date on their vaccinations, flea medications and free of fleas.
We do not photograph pets alone without first photographing them with their owners.
Any pet deemed to be unsafe by a member of our staff will not be allowed to enter.
Pets are not to be on any furniture in the studio unless directed by the photographer.
CATS
There will be times when you will be passing by other families, children and dogs while in studio. Please be prepared if someone might have allergies or if your cat is not happy around dogs or other people.
Cats must be up to date on their vaccinations, flea medications and free of fleas.
If you are planning on grooming your cat before your session, please do so at least 1 week prior to your session.
We require all cats in the studio to be kept in their carrier at ALL TIMES with the exception of when they are being photographed.
Cats will need to be held by their owners when out of their carriers and while being photographed.
Carriers must be water absorbent or have an absorbent pad inside.
Carriers must be off the furniture.
The owner must have control of the carrier at all times.
We are able to photograph up to 3 cats per fur family.
We do not photograph cats alone without first photographing them with their owners.
Any pet deemed to be unsafe by a member of our staff will not be allowed to enter.
Although it is not required, we highly suggest you bring a friend or family member (who is not being photographed) to serve as a “pet handler.” We do not allow our clients to leave their pets unattended or in their vehicles.
We love pets, the above guidelines are for the comfort and safety of all of our clients as well your beloved fur babies.
